This engaging and fast-paced role includes teaching the full extent of the Primary Art and Performing Art National Curriculum, leading on parts of the PHSE curriculum linked to health and wellbeing, and championing wellbeing for colleagues. The role would be ideal for someone who is either an aspirant teacher or someone who would enjoy leading groups of pupils without the full responsibilities of a teacher.

The role primarily involves planning and leading timetabled Art and Performing Arts lessons, where the successful candidate will be expected to monitor the progress of pupils and report this to our Teaching and Learning Lead. There will also be opportunities to teach parts of the PHSE curriculum, through a flexible and pupil-centred approach, along with supporting pupils in class and offering targeted support for individual pupils. The successful candidate will have a flexible approach, have knowledge and experience of working with children in KS1-2 who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties through CPD training. The post requires someone who is highly resilient, able to work well as a member of a successful team and highly developed interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour.
