An exciting NEW opportunity has arisen for our first Associate Chief AHP across our Mental Health Care group. We are looking for highly motivated, innovative registered AHP, recognised as one of the 14 allied health professionals.
You will be reporting directly to the Care group's Director of Nursing with a close working relationship and regular professional supervision with the Trust Chief AHP. This new role will deliver senior AHP advice, leadership, and multi-professional diversity as an integral member of the Care Groups Senior Leadership Team.
You will have the lead responsibility for AHP governance, quality, workforce capacity and capability, education, professional standards, and regulation across Adult Mental Health (AMH) Urgent and Inpatient Care unit, AMH Community Care, Older Persons Unit, Children Young People and Families Care Unit including CAMHS, perinatal and all age eating disorders.
Main duties of the job
The Associate Chief AHP will work closely with AHPs, Clinical teams, Heads of Service, General Managers, Heads and the Trust Chief AHP, Consultants and the wider organisation delivering AHP governance across the 4 pillars of AHP Clinical Practice, AHP Leadership, AHP Education and AHP Research.
The Associate Chief AHP will play a pivotal role in driving forward the professional AHP agenda at care group level in community and inpatient services, systems, and monitoring dashboards, driving quality improvement, and contributing to the development of the strategic direction of clinical services. The post holder will provide professional leadership and guidance, role modelling high professional standards and leading by example to create an environment where excellence in clinical care will flourish in relation to the key dimensions of health care quality including:
