Credit Controller - Join our team if you’re looking for a challenging and rewarding career! This company is looking for a Credit Controller to join them in Ipswich, Suffolk.
Your role:
As the Credit Controller, you will join a highly dedicated and professional team of Sales Ledger experts. You will be delivering the highest quality of service to an internationally dedicated client base.
You will share responsibility for the collection of payments of Customers’ invoices in a timely and professional manner to enhance cash flow and minimise bad debts whilst monitoring credit limits to reduce risk of exposure.
Other key responsibilities:
* Ensuring prompt payments by keeping in regular contact with customers to ensure payments are made in line with the agreed terms.
* Resolving invoice disputes and account queries, logging and reporting on any disputed invoices in a timely manner, whilst informing and assisting all relevant parties to a resolution.
* Monitoring customer credit limits regularly by using the credit checking agency.
* Reporting on cash flow forecasts on a weekly basis and reporting weekly to the Credit Control Manager.
* Allocating cash receipts, ensuring that all cash is allocated in a timely manner and contacting customers regarding missing remittance advices and queries.
* Reinstating closed sales accounts by receiving and processing credit application forms for closed accounts following company guidelines.
* Issuing collection letters for overdue accounts in a timely and professional manner.
* Liaising with the Purchase Ledger department to agree contras and action accordingly.
About you:
As the successful Credit Controller, you will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the Transport Industry. It is essential that you are numerically accurate and able to reconcile, have a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, and are able to use various systems to resolve issues. Good negotiation, communication and influencing skills, with excellent attention to detail, are also required, along with strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload.
