Service Delivery Manager - active SC clearance
A major government organisation requires a Service Delivery Manager responsible for engaging and assisting project managers to ensure the service requirements are being met for various systems.
The key responsibility is to ensure ICT services are fully supported and documented.
Key Tasks
1. Identify gaps and produce a plan to address those gaps.
2. Assist PMs to deliver against those plans.
3. Provide an assurance function, protecting the BAU estate and existing Service Management capability.
4. Responsible for ensuring that the Service Operation is set up and in place. This includes: Event Management; Incident Management; Request fulfilment; Problem Management; Access Management. This also includes the review and setup of Service Desks, etc.
5. Provide cross supplier Incident, Problem and Change process integration.
6. Working closely with the process leads ensure requirements are met for handover of service (when required).
7. Manage internal and external stakeholder expectations.
8. Understand, document and actively manage risks into service.
9. Provide support to the Business Change functions, providing advice and guidance on implementation and deployment.
10. Review project deliverables for quality and accuracy and enforcing standards.
11. Capture and transfer lessons learned for ongoing Programme & Transition planning.
Essential Skills and Experience:
1. The post holder should carry a minimum of 5 years' experience of working in Service Management.
2. The post holder must have experience of working within a public sector organisation and have knowledge of policing.
3. The post holder should be qualified in ITIL Service Transition and Service Design.
