Behaviour Mentor - Primary School
Location: Caerphilly
Full-Time: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Hourly Rate: £12.90 per hour

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join a vibrant primary school in Caerphilly. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping students manage challenging behaviours and supporting their emotional and social development. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with both individual students and groups, implementing strategies that foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support students in developing effective coping strategies for managing their behaviour.
2. Provide one-on-one or small group mentoring sessions to students with behavioural challenges.
3. Collaborate with teachers, parents/guardians, and external professionals to create and implement personalised behaviour intervention plans.
4. Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to ensure continued development.
5. Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviours in an educational setting.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
3. Patience, empathy, and resilience in managing difficult situations.
4. Familiarity with behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
5. A genuine passion for supporting the social and emotional well-being of children.
