As the Digital Improvements Project Manager, you will support the Planning and Regulatory service to deliver the Information, Technology and Digital (ITD) data innovations and provide creative solutions for the delivery of the Governments Digital Planning Improvements agenda.
As well as the technical elements, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the project governance is adhered to and communications and risks are managed effectively.
This post is being offered as a Limited Term Contract for 12 months, working 18.5 hours per week (working days to be agreed).
What will you be doing?
* Daily, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of key ITD and data projects for the Planning Service.
* It will be your responsibility to lead a multi-discipline project team through the life cycle of the project.
* You will provide high level expertise in ITD and technical data within the relevant project environment.
* You will scope costs, risk, and timelines of delivering projects, managing and reporting on financial aspects.
* Driving and directing areas relating to service delivery, you will make sure that planned objectives are met, ensuring that reports and statutory returns are completed in a timely, accurate way.
What we need from you:
* You will have a professional qualification, degree or equivalent level in a business or management related field.
* Given the nature of this role, it is essential that you hold the APM's Project Management (PMQ) qualification or equivalent skill set.
* You will have proven ability in managing and leading projects and the use of multiple ITD platforms, including experience of transition of ITD technical solution into Service Delivery.
* We require you to have considerable experience and credibility to build relationships and engage successfully with customers and partners, both internally and externally, using your highly tuned negotiation and influencing skills.
* You will demonstrate an ability to be flexible and respond to changing demands and managing priorities to meet deadlines.
* You must have excellent strategic awareness and the ability to see the bigger picture.
