Role: IT Infrastructure Engineer
Salary: £45,000 + On-call allowance (£300-£350 per week on-call, every 8 weeks)
Location: Hybrid - 3 days in the office in Leicester (LE19)

Are you a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer looking for a hybrid role where you can make a real impact? Join our dynamic IT Infrastructure team and help support a large-scale enterprise infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work both remotely and in-office, maintaining essential systems across 7,000+ client machines, 300+ servers, and a large Cisco network.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide administration and support for over 7,000 client machines, 300+ servers, 1,600+ Cisco LAN devices, and 220+ WAN links.
2. Manage and maintain mission-critical enterprise IT systems, ensuring their performance, availability, and security.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve complex LAN/WAN/WLAN issues using Cisco network equipment.
4. Implement and manage virtualized environments using VMware or Hyper-V.
5. Develop, maintain, and test IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
6. Automate tasks using PowerShell and other scripting technologies.
7. Support cloud-based platforms and services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
8. Administer and support Microsoft technologies including Exchange Server, Active Directory, SharePoint, and Windows Server OS.
9. Manage and configure Storage Area Networks (SAN) and backup systems.
10. Implement and maintain Cisco Unified Communication VOIP platforms.
Key Skills & Experience:
1. Candidates should have relevant experience in at least three of the following areas:
2. Strong knowledge of Microsoft platforms (Exchange Server, Active Directory, SharePoint, Windows Server OS).
3. Experience with Storage Area Networks and backup systems.
4. Proficiency in developing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
5. Expertise in PowerShell automation for administrative tasks.
6. Competence in managing Cisco network equipment, diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
7. Experience in clustered virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
8. Strong understanding of IT security (network, server, and application layers).
9. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
10. Knowledge of Cisco Unified Communication VOIP platforms.
