Role Overview
We want our customers to be inspired and we're finding bigger and better ways to provide it, using technology to drive innovation and deliver our vision to become the world's leading retailer. As a graduate product manager, you'll be the voice of our customers from day one, solving problems, defining product roadmaps and building products that could affect millions of people across the world for years to come.
You'll quickly discover that the variety of products we build, and the scale at which we deliver, is immense. You could be redesigning the grocery home shopping website to improve customer satisfaction or making sure our 125,000 daily deliveries to customers arrive on time, with the right products available for our customers on the shelf.
Responsibilities
Our Product Managers have broad responsibilities. From holding workshops with stakeholders and writing user stories to getting feedback from customers and data analysis, you'll prioritise development with evidence-based decisions to maximise value for our customers. You'll be part of a cross-functional team of software engineers, designers and analysts, and work closely with business partners to ensure alignment to strategic goals. Our product management teams work across our London and Welwyn offices with the possibility of placements in either location.
Throughout your programme the experience is owned and crafted by you, with the independence to choose different product placements across our Technology teams. This will help shape your career as a Product Manager from the start so you can grow to be the very best you can be.
Who We Are Looking For
We're looking for graduates with a curious, creative mind, who love solving problems. You'll need a strong passion for technology, an analytical mind and be confident translating product vision into detailed engineering requirements. You'll be working with colleagues across technology to bring your solutions to life. Communication skills are essential to gain support for your ideas and understand the wider business context.
Working at Our Welwyn Garden City Campus
Our leafy, green campus is 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Welwyn Garden City with its many shops, restaurants, pubs and sports facilities. Close to the A1, and with frequent trains running to Finsbury Park in just 20 minutes (free shuttle buses take you between the station and office), the campus is well connected to the surrounding area.
On campus, you'll find subsidised restaurants and coffee shops, as well as a Tesco Express to pick up your lunch or last-minute essentials. We also have a place where colleagues can connect and come together, to unlock innovation and collaboration and a place where they can network and socialise. Plus we have an on-site Nuffield Health gym, which has state-of-the-art equipment, studios for classes, plus treatment rooms (membership costs £23.50 per month).
