An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12 months' secondment into a Lecturer’s post in Children’s nursing here at the University of Cumbria, working with students who are studying a pre-registration nursing degree. You will work as part of our dynamic and inspiring team of nurse lecturers and sit within the friendly, supportive, innovative Nursing team. Responsibilities of the role are teaching and assessment, module coordination, supporting students with their academic studies, their clinical practice experiences and pastoral support. Additional responsibilities will include the promotion of nursing to prospective students, working with practice partners and potential employers. Our programme is delivered face-to-face with some online delivery and is designed to reflect the NMC’s Future Nurse Standards. Effective links with practice will be maintained with the role of link lecturer (Academic Assessor), working closely with students and practice partners. Every day is different and rewarding.
