Interview/assessment/start date – Interviews week commencing 31st March, start date end of July British Antarctic Survey (BAS) is looking for an exceptional Station Leader to join our hard-working team based at Signy Island, South Orkney Islands. BAS delivers and enables world-leading interdisciplinary research in the Polar Regions. Your main responsibilities will include: Leading and managing daily and upcoming station activities Maintaining effective communication between all stakeholders on and off station Supporting and delivering BAS strategies For the role of Station Leader we are looking for somebody who: Must have proven leadership and management experience. Has search and rescue knowledge and experience in a montane or maritime environment. Can demonstrate a competent level of field skills, knowledge and experience in a mountain setting or similar.
