Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join their expanding team, offering a salary around £40k. This role involves hands-on facilities management and health and safety oversight across six depot locations, with regular travel required. Based primarily at one of the main depots, you'll ensure efficient facility operations and safety compliance across all sites.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the hands-on management and upkeep of all facilities, ensuring they meet high standards in both functionality and safety. You'll implement and oversee maintenance schedules, conduct site inspections, and work closely with site teams to identify and resolve facility and safety issues quickly and effectively.
You will be proactive in ensuring that health and safety protocols are followed across all locations, conducting training sessions, inspecting equipment and workspaces, and identifying areas for improvement. You'll investigate incidents as needed, with a focus on preventative measures and risk reduction.
This role also includes some maintenance and repair work, centralising facilities processes across the group, and overseeing compliance with health and safety policies. You'll also maintain records of facility upkeep, health and safety measures, and training, ensuring that all sites meet ISO and industry standards.
Qualifications:
* NEBOSH certification or similar H&S qualification
* Proven experience in facilities management
* Strong organisational skills with a hands-on approach to site and facility management
* Full driving license
* Effective communication skills and the ability to engage with team members across locations
* A commitment to continuous improvement in facilities operations and safety standards
