This exciting role as a Gynaecology Receptionist has become available. As a receptionist you are the first point of contact for women and their partners visiting the hospital. The receptionist will provide a full reception service, including meeting and greeting all attendees to the clinic reception area, offering a high level of administrative support to the Clinical teams, ensuring the accurate completion of registration details, maintaining computerised records, and dealing with queries in a sympathetic and appropriate manner. The post also involves participation in the running and preparation of outpatient clinics
1To accurately receive and check women in and out of clinic using the relevant computer systems
2To participate in the preparation and the running of the reception and cross cover other reception areas within the division when required
3 To answer telephone enquiries from patients, medical staff and other hospitals, dealing with enquiries in a professional manner and referring to the relevant person where necessary
4To prepare clinic notes ensuring all relevant documentation is included
5 To send appointment letters to patients ensuring information is accurate
6 To deal with patient cancellations in accordance with the Patient Access Policy.
7Taking responsibility for the tracing in and out of medical records
8To ensure all outcome forms are completed on the PAS system
9To be responsible for restocking stationary, ensuring order forms are signed by the Senior Administrator
To provide annual leave and sickness cover as required
1 To undertake any other duties appropriate to the post as agreed by the Senior Administrator
