Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer from within an Aerospace, Aviation or Defence Engineering environment? We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our client based in South Wales. They are a world leading name for products, from concept through to manufacture, a leader of technical excellence within their field and due to continued growth across the whole group a Manufacturing Engineer is required to join this growing company Essential Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer:Support the Platform Lead in developing a team with an appropriate mix of skills to deliver the engineering solutionSupport the Work Breakdown Structure Participate in Design Reviews throughout each phase of the New Product Introduction process, ensuring that all necessary follow up actions are taken Support reviews and ensure that appropriate actions are carried out to mitigate risk through the application of appropriate design tools and techniques Work the other departments to ensure that the design solution meets the appropriate airworthiness requirements Maintain the engineering quality and integrity of the work produced within their work package Support the Design input into all the customer meetings such as Initial Technical Coordination Meeting, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, First Article Inspection and Programme Reviews Ensure that Cost and Weight targets are monitored, managed and met Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and suppliers and to manage data transfer Support the selection and application of materials and processes appropriate to each design element and to provide assistance to other team members Ensure the successful integration of each design element with the product as a whole Follow and contribute to the development of the Best Practice guidelines as laid out in BMS documentation Check engineering packages and where possible, to gain Authorised Signatory status for their area of expertise Generate and/or revise specifications Undertake other reasonable tasks as requested by your line manager from time to time, including deputise when requiredQualifications and Desired Characteristics of the Manufacturing Engineer:Minimum HND and/or Degree plus suitable depth of relevant experienceProven engineering experience in creating effective engineered solutions and providing design input to other team members The ability to work with a minimal level of supervision and intervention Driving LicenceIf you meet with the fullest of the requirements for the role of Manufacturing Engineer for our client, then please send your CV for this role, interviews due to be conducted W/C 27th June 2016.
