Team of Support Workers – 8 vacancies available - Prudhoe
To provide support as part of a staff team covering 24/7 support. Shifts will be 12 hours 2:1 including nights.
We are currently looking to recruit a team of Support Workers to provide support for a 27-year-old female who lives in her own home. This young lady is diagnosed with Moderate learning difficulties, Autism, A.D.H.D. and Hypotonia. The purpose of your role will be to enable her to live in her own home and continue to have independence.
This young lady requires a staff team of 8 people, male/female. 2 staff at all times covering 12-hour shifts including nights. These shifts can be adjusted if needed depending on the applicant.
She requires carers who have a positive, outgoing personality with a good sense of humour. You should be fit and have good general health as she likes walking, swimming, and trampolining. Her favourite thing to do is go shopping, but this can make her overstimulated, so this happens once or twice a week. She can be complex and have challenging behaviour, so we are looking for empathetic carers who understand her needs.
Experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided. As you will be working as part of a staff team, you will need to be comfortable working with others and have good communication skills. Drivers preferred but not essential. She has a mobility car available for social and domestic use on her behalf.
As well as a high standard of personal care required in this role, you are also required to carry out domestic duties within the household where required.
Hours: 2:1 support to cover 12-hour shifts including nights. Please state on your application hours you are able to support. Hours to be discussed further at interview.
