Printer No 2 Start date: 01 April 2025 Shift pattern: From 1st April to 30 June 2025, you will be working Tuesday to Thursday, 6am – 6pm. From 1st July 2025, we will move to a Double Day shift pattern – Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm or 2pm 10pm (alternated weekly). Starting salary: £37,223 per annum, rising to £38,015 on successful completion of 3-month probation. Moving to £45,963 when working Double Day shift. Plus, highly competitive overtime payments. The role Are you an experienced Printer or Assistant Printer looking for your next challenge? Do you want to work with the market leader in banknote production? Reporting to the Print Process Lead, you will be required to support operations and ensure machine outputs on print processes, (Optinota, Letterpress for cover purposes only) and overall responsibilities for the running and operation of the Varnish process. Duties include, but are not limited to; Maximise machine efficiency to produce consistently high output within specifications and quality standards. First line problem solving on the machine, identifying technical problems and providing solutions. Control and monitor associated paperwork and computer records to provide accurate documentation. Liaise with QC to ensure quality standards are met. Complete make-readies effectively and expediently whilst achieving an approved pass sheet. Continuously monitoring the quality of the product. Report, immediately any machine malfunctions to the Print Supervisor. Ensure a shift changeover occurs and the correct information is communicated concerning the handing over of the machine and quality of work. The above list is not exhaustive.
