POSITION
We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts/Finance Assistant role to join our busy International Finance team. The role is to support the Accounts/Finance team in providing a comprehensive service and providing support and cover for the other roles within the accounts / finance team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
PAYROLL MANAGEMENT & PROCESSING
* Oversee monthly payroll processing.
* Liaison with HR and the payroll service providers.
* Liaison with treasury for payroll funding.
* Recording of the payroll and reconciliation of payroll reporting with the General ledger.
* Support/manage production of PSA / P11D / Short term travelers returns.
ACCOUNTING / MONTH-END CLOSE
* Raising journal entries for all international legal.
* Reconciliation of accruals versus actual invoices/fees and identifying variances.
* Liaising with Group controllers to resolve reconciliations queries and providing support data for balance sheet reconciliations.
* Assist with Management pack preparation up to trial balance.
* Assist with month-end and year-end as required.
* Work collaboratively with other internal departments (i.e., group controllers, treasury, accounts payable team) for the benefit of the business as a whole and to provide professional, helpful and proactive support as required.
* General accounts and office admin.
* Assist with the year-end audit process, data gathering, and document formatting for presentations.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Previous accounting and payroll experience, minimum 3-5 years.
* Experience with Excel (pivot tables/v-lookups/sum-ifs a plus).
* Experience with accounting software, Oracle a plus.
* Able to work proactively within a fast-paced environment.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritize workload with a flexible and common-sense approach.
