SEN Teacher Location: Burnley, Lancashire Contract: Full-time, Long-term Start Date: ASAP Pay: Dependent on experience and qualifications We are currently working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Burnley to recruit a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, ideal for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with complex needs. This supportive and well-resourced school caters to pupils across secondary age ranges who present with a range of learning difficulties, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD), and associated behavioural needs. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs Work closely with support staff to provide a consistent and nurturing learning environment Assess and track student progress, adapting learning strategies as needed Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and the wider school team Contribute to the wider school community and ethos The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience working within a specialist SEN environment (desirable but not essential) A patient, resilient and empathetic approach to teaching Strong behaviour management and communication skills A commitment to supporting the individual needs of all learners A valid enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one If you’re an enthusiastic SEN Teacher looking for your next challenge in a nurturing and rewarding setting, we’d love to hear from you.
