The Role
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to the Royal Navy Training Design Service. As an e-Courseware Developer you’ll support the Integrated Training Design Service to deliver learning that is blended, active and provides customer delight.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for all training courses assigned to you with regards to training transformation. An advocate for the creation of training content that is not only active and engaging, but also inclusive and learner centric.
2. Ensuring the processes that support the creation, review and change of training courses follow the end-to-end training design process, are DSAT (Defense Systems Approach to Training) compliant and adhere to quality standards.
3. Developing innovative and engaging e-Courseware content utilising industry-standard software such as rapid authoring tools for delivery on multiple platforms, including tablet and mobile phone.
4. Support with the maintenance of Management Systems and Learning Content Management System.
5. Proactively seeking feedback and impact stories to further enhance training courses and to continuously improve and celebrate the work completed.
6. Ensure that any changes derived from internal and external validation are incorporated into all training design activity.
7. Conducting the maintenance and validation of training documentation, reviewing and analysing TNA’s in accordance with mandated FTU Document and Development Review Management Plan.
8. Attending OEM Design Reviews, Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test, to ensure we stay aligned with agreed training requirements.
9. Delivery of training courses and briefs on specific topics as required by the Customer ensuring compliance with MoD regulations and procedures.
10. Building strong stakeholder relationships with subject matter experts to positively contribute towards training transformation.
11. Identify opportunities to provide accreditation for new and/or amended training as designed.
12. Project lead responsibilities for collaborative/group working projects as required.
13. Act as a technical lead to ensure that processes follow latest direction and guidance in accordance with defence policy.
14. Responsible for the continuous professional development of yourself, and the coaching of Training Designers that you are allocated to set them up for success.
15. Follow security standards and system requirements to protect data and ensure smooth operations.
16. Any other duties required to support the Integrated Training Design Service.
Essential Qualifications:
1. Demonstrate previous experience from a Learning and Development role.
2. Demonstrate a passion for learning and development.
3. Demonstrate excellent collaboration, communication and adept at building strong relationships.
4. Be an ambassador for learning, collaboration, and demonstrate best practices within the team.
5. Demonstrate attention to detail, a passion for quality and be able to plan and multitask.
6. Adopt a flexible approach to the role, adapt to evolving priorities.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Experience of ADDIE model and Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT).
2. Training and/or Instructional Design.
3. Knowledge of UK Ministry Defence procedures and policies.
