The Position
RIB UK&I Limited is looking for a Senior Finance Controller who will be responsible for the financials of the UK&I Limited. The main task is to ensure the correctness of the accounting and tax compliance according to Local and international accounting standards as well as compliance within the RIB and holding companies.
This position is full time, based in the UK. Reporting to the Regional Finance BP.
Responsibilities
1. Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and all ledger transactions, both in preparation, execution and reporting.
2. Fully responsible for the financial reporting of the company. Take responsibility for all accounting for RIB UK&I Limited including all ledger processes, tax compliance and statutory financial statements.
3. Responsible for adherence to group accounting policy and reporting deadlines including internal reporting to various stakeholders: being local directors, regional and group finance EMT.
4. Responsible person for auditors, internally and/or externally, in all aspects of financial controls.
5. Payroll processing including HMRC compliance and returns with a direct link to RIB HR. Including all returns and payroll control accounts for Salaries, HMRC, Pensions, Healthcare, Group life, with divisional costings including preparation and posting of salary journal and intercompany charges.
6. Review of all sales invoicing. Credit control and debtor management with a KPI to maintain debtors’ days to 45 days. Liaison with Sales and Customer Success teams.
7. Review of posting of all purchase invoices. Overview and offline approval of all payments.
8. Approval and processing of all staff expenses.
9. Royalty management with monthly intercompany reconciliations.
10. Standard monthly process of depreciation, prepayments, accruals, fixed asset reporting, weekly processing of deferred revenue and revenue recognition schedules for weekly sales reports.
11. VAT compliance, processing, reviewing, and reporting.
12. Active preparation and presentation of budgets as well as quarterly forecasting based on Group standards and reporting.
13. Provide dashboards & analyses for local management.
14. Report financial profitability ratios advising profitability of the business.
15. Compliance to all group policies including Trust Charter, Export Control with compliance to the COA.
16. Liaison with HR - local and Group HR BP.
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
2. 5 or more years of management accounting experience.
3. Hands-on experience.
Skills and Abilities
1. Experience in general ledger, IFRS as well as tax.
2. Affinity for numbers, mastery of financial concepts, intimate knowledge of financial statements.
3. Conceptual, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
4. A strong team player with experience working independently on topics with a structured approach.
5. Ability to work efficiently in a matrix organization.
6. Flexible and agile with ad-hoc reporting requests.
7. Attention to detail & commitment to deadlines.
