What you'll do As a Produce Technical Manager at Sainsbury's, you will be responsible for delivering quality products and technical standards within the Produce and Horticulture area, ensuring that product performance exceeds customer expectations. Drawing on your expertise in Produce value chains, you will build strategies for improved product performance, drive continuous improvement, and define technical and quality innovation plans to meet customer trends. You will work closely with industry-leading growers and suppliers to identify first-to-market opportunities, manage day-to-day supplier performance, and implement a risk-assessed approach to safety and legality of Sainsbury's brand products. Your role will also involve maintaining ethical compliance, conducting detailed site visits and audits, and driving continual improvement in standards to uphold brand reputation and due diligence.
