West Suffolk Council, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 3YU Information Governance Officer £39,513 - £44,711 per annum plus excellent employee benefits package 37 hours per week Full Time Permanent Reference: 0953 About the role: We are looking for an efficient, enthusiastic and solutions focused individual to join our Customer and Digital Service at West Suffolk Council as the Council’s Information Governance Officer. In this varied role you will work with the Head of Customer and Digital, Change and Digital Manager, Senior Information Risk Officer, Data Protection Officer and members of the Information Governance Working Group to ensure strategic and operational compliance with the legal requirements associated with obtaining, use, retention and disclosure of information. The role would suit an ambitious, creative, forward-thinking individual who has the desire, drive and ability to continually adapt and improve. What you will need: You will have extensive Information Governance knowledge, to include FOI, EIR, Data Protection and GDPR. You will have excellent experience of working with/ influencing officers and driving improvement programmes as well as an excellent record of working to tight deadlines, and the ability to communicate policy and procedures effectively at all levels.
