Job Description
Main Responsibilities
1. Follow daily task with room attendant.
2. Ensure the room attendants are following the sequence of cleaning.
3. Ensure VIP amenities are in the room before guest’s arrival.
4. Ensure special attention is given to VIP rooms.
5. Ensure that all flower arrangements look pleasant before the delivery to the rooms.
6. Ensure extra bed and extra amenities are in the room before the guest’s arrival.
7. Conduct daily inspection of employee grooming.
8. Inspect all guest rooms, corridors, and stores on a daily basis to ensure the highest standard of cleanliness.
9. Conduct on-the-job training for all Room Attendants.
10. Maintain effective employee relations.
11. Check and maintain equipment and machines used.
12. Attend daily briefing with EKH/AEH in Housekeeping.
13. Report any sick, irregular guest, and any stranger in guest corridors to the Housekeeper and Security Office immediately.
14. Proper handover and takeover of the incoming and outgoing shifts to be handled well.
15. Report all Lost & Found items to Housekeeping.
16. Follow up on “Do not disturb” rooms.
17. Train attendants constantly, supervise work performance and working habits.
18. Prepare inventory for room linen.
19. Notify Housekeeper of any damage caused by guests.
20. While inspecting guest rooms and other areas, there should be an eye for detail.
21. Make sure trolleys are parked well in the guest corridors and while cleaning rooms, the trolleys must be parked properly at the guest room entrance.
22. Ensure punctuality, attendance, and courteous attitude.
23. Ensure all guest rooms are cleaned.
24. Inspect all work done by Room Attendant.
Qualifications
The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:
1. Attention to detail, style, and aesthetics of hotel is critical.
2. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
3. Ability to attract new, dynamic talent who complement the vision of the department/hotel.
4. The ability to react and adjust to changing business environment and lead the team in ensuring efficient financial management of the department.
5. College Degree in Hospitality or similar field.
6. 2 years experience in a similar role.
7. Fluent in English, Arabic, and French.
