Robert Half is supporting a Global Consulting Firm in recruiting a Record to Report (R2R) Global Process Owner (GPO) for a project backfill position. This role focuses on leading the transformation and standardisation of R2R processes, including centralisation and process improvement across multiple locations. The role requires expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and strong vendor management with a background in managing offshore teams and business process outsourcing (BPO) relationships. Contract Assignment Details: Duration: Initial 6-month contract Start Date: Immediate start with a lead time for onboarding and technology setup Experience Required: Extensive experience as a qualified accountant, ideally with over 20 years in finance-related roles, including financial reporting, controls, and compliance. Strong track record in finance transformation, particularly in centralising finance functions and implementing new operating models. Proven expertise in managing offshore and outsource models for R2R processes, preferably with experience in BPO partnerships, including vendor management, SLAs, and KPIs. Ability to create, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with robust change control and governance frameworks. Experience in managing and leading finance teams in offshore locations, including building strong relationships and overseeing operational accuracy and consistency. Knowledge of implementing financial reporting systems, such as Blackline, and managing complex reconciliation processes. Key Responsibilities: Process Management: Lead the R2R process for financial services in Porto, ensuring efficient and standardised financial reporting and accounting controls across multiple countries. Vendor Management: Work closely with Genpact, the BPO partner, to oversee transaction processing, maintain quality assurance, and ensure alignment with organisational priorities. Transformation and Standardisation: Drive finance transformation initiatives, including centralising finance functions and developing business cases for process efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Team Leadership: Manage the offshore R2R team in Porto, including supporting the recruitment of a new business lead and building a high-performing team. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams to provide updates on R2R processes, address any issues with financial reporting, and support change management initiatives. Governance and Compliance: Ensure that all R2R processes meet governance and compliance standards, including implementing robust documentation and performance metrics.
