Experience
* Minimum Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
* Ideally trained to LV Authorised Person Level
* Able to demonstrate a wide knowledge of a range Power Factor Correction systems
* Desirable but not essential to have a working knowledge of HV and LV distribution Systems
* Good knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations and general health and safety legislation
* Strong communication skills
* Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
* Full driving licence
Job description
On a daily basis you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repair of power factor correction equipment. This role would suit a trained PFC engineer who is looking to become an industry specialist within a growing company who will provide training, progression and overtime opportunities.
Service, Maintenance and Installation of Electrical Equipment, Liaising / Meeting with Clients, training others and gaining experience with HV/ LV distribution systems with excellent opportunities for progression.
* Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical of Power Factor Correction Units
* Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
* Inspect PFC equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes
* Test PFC systems using testing, to ensure compatibility and safety of system
* Perform business management duties, including maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies and equipment
* Provide preliminary sketches and estimates for materials and services
* Opportunities to be trained to work across multiple HV and LV disciplines.

Salary
£29,806.35 – £47,689.95 – plus opportunity for considerable overtime
