About Us:
Precision Glass Ltd is a specialist architectural glass company, providing bespoke solutions that are not readily available elsewhere. We focus on unique, oversized, and specialist-shaped glass for high-end residential and commercial projects. Our expertise lies in designing and installing premium architectural glass solutions that meet the complex structural and aesthetic demands of our clients.
The Role:
This is a varied role, split between office work and site installations. You will gain hands-on experience in all areas of the business before specialising in one of the following fields over time:
-Sales & Estimating
-Project Management & Design
-Order Processing & Installation
You must be willing to work both in the office and on-site as required.
You Will Learn:
We will provide full training, including obtaining a CSCS card and an NVQ in Glazing or Glass Related Occupations.
You will develop skills in:
-Producing quotations for customers.
-Processing orders and liaising with suppliers.
-Understanding and applying relevant building regulations.
-Providing technical advice to customers.
-Conducting site surveys and producing design drawings.
-Installing bespoke glass solutions to the highest standard on-site.
Your Responsibilities (with Training Provided):
Site Work & Installations;
-Assist with installations, which may involve early starts and late finishes (with paid overtime) and travel around the country.
-Use hand tools and power tools on-site.
-Overcome installation challenges to maintain high-quality standards.
-Follow Health & Safety processes and safe working methods.
Sales & Customer Relations:
-Speak with customers over the phone to understand their needs and produce quotations.
-Maintain regular contact with customers, building relationships and trust.
-Follow up on sales enquiries and nurture leads through the sales cycle.
-Produce quotations using Word and Excel.
-Communicate with customers via telephone and email.
Order Processing & Supply Chain Management:
-Obtain pricing from manufacturers for quotations and order processing.
-Coordinate with suppliers regarding delivery times.
-Receive and inspect glass deliveries, ensuring quality control.
-Monitor stock levels for live projects and place orders as required.
Technical & Design Work:
-Ensure all quotations and designs comply with building regulations.
-Provide technical advice to customers.
-Produce drawings using AutoCAD and Sketchup for client approval and glass manufacturing.
-Undertake site surveys.
Requirements (Must-Haves):
-Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
-Strong reading, writing, and verbal English.
-Naturally good at building relationships and trust with people.
-Confident telephone manner and willingness to speak with customers.
-Full Manual UK driving licence.
-Positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
-Responsible and reliable (e.g., good timekeeping, working to deadlines, keeping promises to customers).
-Physically fit and willing to help load and unload deliveries
Desirable Skills & Experience:
-Some sales experience.
-Some hands-on/site experience with tools.
