Job Summary
Ward 25 is a 14-bedded ward specializing in Diabetes and Endocrinology. Due to all our rooms being cubicles, we care for patients with a variety of infections.
We work closely with various specialist teams and departments such as Diabetes, Infection Control, SALT, Nutritional team, as well as OT and Physio.
The Clinical Sister will work alongside the Ward Manager to ensure the ward's high standards are met. We believe staff should have the training and skills required to do their job to the best of their ability. The Clinical Sister will be responsible for ensuring staff receive both mandatory training and any additional training that may be required.
You will also gain experience in a range of managerial roles including E-Rostering, Sickness Management, Audits, and Ulysses.

Main Duties of the Job
The successful applicant will be expected to complete the Nurse in Charge role, arrange staff training, complete management roles such as E-Rostering, Ulysses, Sickness Management, and complete a variety of audits.

Person Specification
Essential
1. Level 1 Registered Nurse
2. Diploma in Nursing or evidence of recent relevant CPD at diploma level
3. Qualified mentor (ENB 998 or mentorship award or equivalent) or working towards
4. Evidence of Post Registration development in the relevant specialty
5. Qualified NVQ Assessor (A1 or equivalent) or working towards
6. Minimum 18 months experience
Desirable
1. Degree in Nursing or working towards
2. Leadership Qualification
3. Experience of managing a team or area within a ward area
