Position: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Shifts: 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights)
Nicholas Associates have an excellent opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, to work for a market leader in food production. The position is based at their Livingston site.
As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising our production facility. This role requires a strong balance of electrical and mechanical engineering skills to ensure the smooth operation of our equipment and processes. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where your expertise will contribute directly to the production of high-quality fish products.

Key Accountabilities
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all production machinery and equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in a timely manner to minimise downtime.
Collaborate with production teams to optimise equipment performance and improve efficiency.
Carry out installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including fault logs and maintenance schedules.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability.
Participate in shift handovers, ensuring clear communication of ongoing issues and priorities.
Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed.
Respond quickly to breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to production.Skills & Experience Required
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
Technical Expertise: A balanced skill set in both electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines.
Flexibility: Willingness to work rotational shifts, including weekends and nights.
Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to work, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard.
