You will be working within our close-knit Multi-Function Radar team, comprised of interdisciplinary engineers who are evolving our radar portfolio to address both emerging and future threats. With your expertise in contemporary Systems Engineering, you will become an integral member of our growing team, focused on delivering next-generation technology solutions while helping to develop our junior systems engineering talent.

Responsibilities
1. Create innovative solutions to evolving technological and operational challenges for complex Multi-Function Radar systems.
2. Utilize a wide range of expertise in systems engineering concepts and methods to provide technical solutions and address engineering problems.
3. Conduct system design analysis to manage trade-offs of system parameters for robust design characterization and specification.
4. Discern and decompose requirements to system and sub-system levels, managing these in approved toolsets such as IBM DOORS Next.
5. Be a key technical contributor in system development and implementation activities, engaging with internal and customer stakeholders while mentoring junior engineering peers.
6. Collaborate with specialists in diverse engineering fields (software, mechanical, electrical, and electronics) to realize comprehensive system design solutions.
7. Plan and undertake system integration and testing.
8. Contribute to defining acceptance strategies that demonstrate system performance across various operational scenarios, supported by customer acceptance evidence.
Qualifications
1. Understanding of at least one of the following subject areas: signal processing, target track extraction, object classification algorithms, system and sensor resource optimisation.
2. An appreciation of factors affecting the real-world performance of sensing systems, including their impact on the accuracy and timeliness of measurements to meet challenging design objectives and requirements.
3. Demonstrable understanding and experience of Systems Engineering, potentially including knowledge of Systems Engineering standards (e.g., ISO 15288).
4. Higher education (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM discipline.
