Job summary The successful candidate will be responsible for the organisation, planning and management of the delivery of the Emergency Radiology Department at the University Hospital of Wales. We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and experienced radiographer to fill the role of the Emergency Superintendent Radiographer. Working as part of the wider superintendent body you will provide clinical leadership to our friendly and hardworking team based at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. This role is suited to an experienced radiographer seeking to enhance their professional development by utilising their management skills within an established team. Main duties of the job An exciting opportunity has arisen at the University Hospital of Wales for an experienced and motivated radiographer to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful post holder will act as a lead practitioner within the Emergency Radiology department in our busy Major Trauma Centre, demonstrating exemplary clinical skills. The role encompasses staff management, organisation of departmental workload, clinical decisions about individual patients and examinations as well as decisions on protocols, guidelines and care pathways. The post holder will direct and monitor the clinical education of all radiographic staff within the Accident, Emergency and Trauma speciality.
