We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Accounting and Financial Reporting team in Manchester, to assist managers to profitably deliver work across a portfolio of corporate clients. This role will focus on complex financial reporting and consolidations, whilst managing a small portfolio of corporate and not-for-profit clients.
You will make an impact by:
1. Acting as day-to-day point of contact for clients and practising the principles of excellent client service at all times.
2. Managing a small portfolio of corporate clients within the agreed internal budget for the job and addressing any material points identified on assignments with the team.
3. Planning assignments in accordance with the firm’s standard procedures and confirming arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
4. Ensuring that assignments are undertaken in accordance with instructions, and carrying out complex aspects of the assignment efficiently, thoroughly and in accordance with the firm’s procedures.
What we are looking for:
To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills and experience must include:
1. ACA / ACCA qualified.
2. A strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.
3. Experience of working to FS102 and FS101.
4. Knowledge and experience of UK GAAP and IFRS financial reporting.
5. Working knowledge of corporation tax will also be beneficial.
