Key tasks:
* Support the Senior Fabric Designer with curating fabric Collections across our customer portfolio.
* Liaising with suppliers and customers to ensure sample fabrics arrive on time, then pass to the development team for product sampling.
* Support the creation of fabric swatch and trend boards, and help to maintain the fabric sample room, keeping it organised and tidy.
* Co-ordinate the journey of the fabric through the business including booking in, receipting on the ERP system, sending swatches for testing, and maintaining internal swatch files.
* Monitor orders through production, ensuring all fabrics are labelled and passed to production departments.
* Add new fabrics to the ERP system, with all relevant information.
* Liaise with suppliers to help maintain the ‘library’ of fabric information on the ERP system.
* Create purchase orders.
* Assist with showroom set up, when required.
The person:
* Background working in a similar design environment preferable, but not essential.
* Creative individual with a Design qualification, preferably not necessarily in Textiles.
* Interest in interiors and fabric/fashion trends with some fabric knowledge.
* Able to work under pressure on a range of projects within a fast-paced environment and is willing to engage with varied day-to-day tasks.
* Good attention to detail and experience working on different computer systems.
* Eager to learn and gain experience as they grow into the role.
* Confident in presenting and communicating ideas internally and through customer-facing presentations.
* Flexible, as occasional travel and overtime may be required.
Manual handling training will be provided.
