St Luke's Hospice is a local charity providing compassionate care to people whose illnesses are no longer curable. We promote dignity in dying and empower people to make the choices they want, from the moment they are diagnosed. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed individual to join our team as a Relief Shop Manager. You will play a crucial role in managing our charity shops, ensuring effective operations and making a significant contribution to our fundraising goals. Role Overview As a Relief Shop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of different charity shops as needed. You will bring your experience in retail management to support our core teams, deliver excellent customer service, and maximise sales and profitability. Main Responsibilities Manage shop operations in the absence of the regular Shop Manager, including team management. Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained. Oversee stock management, merchandising and shop layout to drive sales. Maintain accurate financial and administrative records in line with Hospice policies. Support the recruitment, training, and development of volunteers. Promote the work of St Luke’s Hospice to the local community and build strong donor relationships. About You Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably within the charity sector. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and work within budgets. Flexible approach and willingness to travel between different shop locations. Proficient in IT and retail software systems.
