We are looking for 2 experienced registered cliniciansto join the Digital Team as a Digital Clinical Specialist (CSO). This is a key role in terms of delivering our Digital Health Programme which includes our Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme for Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust as an integrated Acute and Community Hospital
As a Digital Clinical Specialist (CSO), you will have a vital role in ensuring digital transformation is undertaken as safely and effectively as possible. To succeed in this role you will have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, in order to promote the role of clinical safety across cross-functional teams. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary digital clinical team and be supported by the Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO).
The postholder is required to be a suitably qualified and experienced healthcare professional who holds and maintains current registration with an appropriate professional body relevant to their training and experience. Experience of working within a clinical safety role in an acute healthcare setting and knowledge of healthcare information technology systems is essential.
The Digital Clinical Specialist (CSO) will work as part of a dynamic Clinical Engagement Team. The post holder will have an extensive understanding of clinical safety and will be responsible for efficient and effective management of the Digital Clinical Safety on behalf of the Trust.
The role is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, support, specialist knowledge and clinical safety review and approval for the implementation of new digital solutions, upgrades and existing digital solutions across the Trust. This includes the assessment of clinical safety issues at all points in the procurement and implementation of IT software and hardware, including on-going management once transferred to live service and ensuring all digital solutions conform to relevant national standards for clinical safety
