Position Title: Manager, Crewing Operations

Location: Woking, Surrey UK (with travel to UK, Angola, and other locations)
Job Purpose:
Lead and manage the crewing team to ensure efficient deployment of manpower and resources for vessel operations. Responsibilities include overseeing crew management, ensuring compliance with regulations, and preparing crews for project readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert advice on crewing matters to internal stakeholders.
2. Optimize crew costs and manage crewing budgets effectively.
3. Ensure vessels are adequately manned with qualified crews.
4. Enhance stakeholder satisfaction through quality crewing services.
5. Develop and implement crew management strategies aligned with company goals.
6. Manage subcontracting with manning agencies and conduct audits.
7. Oversee crew welfare and emergency response procedures.
8. Facilitate payroll, timesheet, and claim management.
9. Maintain accurate crew documentation and compliance records.
10. Drive continuous improvement in crewing processes.
11. Prepare regular reports for senior management.
12. Handle other marine/crewing/HR-related duties as assigned.
Relevant Experience and Preferred Skills:
* Minimum 15 years in crewing management within shipping companies.
* Experience managing a team of at least 5 members.
* Strong English communication skills.
* Willingness to travel extensively (over 60%).
* Experience in multinational environments with diverse workforce.
* Knowledge of crew management software is beneficial.
* Understanding of marine industry requirements.
* Analytical and effective people management skills.
Qualifications/Certifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Diploma in Marine related fields.
Additional Details:

* Flexibility to handle ad-hoc duties related to marine/crewing/HR.
