Job Title: Multi-Skilled Operative (Roofers)
Employment Type: Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Fixed Term for either 6 or 12 Months

As a Multi-Skilled Operative working for Leicester City Council, you will start your day from home, travel to your first job for 8am, and have access to a vehicle equipped with all necessary building materials and electrical plant for repair work. You will be allocated daily jobs through a work mobile phone provided by the Works Planning team. Your work will involve traveling throughout the city to carry out maintenance tasks, typically finishing around 4pm on Mondays to Thursdays and 3.30pm on Fridays. Limited travel time allows for a good work-life balance, and overtime may occasionally be required with prior notice.
You will be provided with all necessary workwear and PPE, including steel toecap shoes and waterproofs. Should any clothing be damaged while working, replacements will be provided. Although this role involves lone working, you will have a supportive team and access to technical support from your team leader for complex tasks.
