Procurement Category Buyer - Equipment & CAPEX
Location: Surrey Office (2 days a week)
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 + 5% Bonus + additional benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Category Buyer - Equipment & CAPEX to join a fast-growing, dynamic Consumer organisation. This role will focus on managing procurement projects across equipment and capital expenditure (CAPEX) while driving efficiency, cost savings, and supplier performance.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Lead multiple procurement projects focused on equipment and CAPEX.
* Optimise return on investment (ROI) through strategic procurement initiatives.
* Manage key supplier relationships at both local and regional levels.
* Develop procurement strategies that align with business objectives and growth plans.
* Analyse supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
* Work cross-functionally with design, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure commercial viability of procurement decisions.
* Support category strategy development, ensuring alignment with market trends and internal priorities.
What We're Looking For:
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract meaningful insights from data.
* Experience in procurement, supply chain, or supplier management.
* Ability to challenge the status quo and drive innovative procurement strategies.
* Experience working in complex stakeholder environments.
* Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
* Ideally: 2+ years' experience in equipment, CAPEX, construction, or property procurement.
* Industry experience in food service, FMCG, or retail would be a plus.
