The Financial Management Service monitors and supports the delivery of the Council’s financial strategy and aims to ensure the effective allocation of the Council’s financial resources to deliver the Council’s vision for Knowsley. You will support the development, implementation and review of financial management processes and will be responsible for maintaining effective and high-quality delivery of a wide range of financial support to clients. You must be qualified in a Professional Accountancy Qualification (preferably CIPFA) with extensive relevant experience in a finance or accountancy role including within the public sector. While preference will be given to qualified candidates, in exceptional circumstances candidates who can instead demonstrate extensive relevant experience and who are currently enrolled as a student for a CCAB Accountancy qualification may be considered At Knowsley Council we will consider requests for flexible working.
