JOB TITLE: Audit Analyst
SALARY: From £45,954 +
LOCATION(S): Bristol or Edinburgh
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our location hubs (Bristol or Edinburgh)
About this opportunity
As an Audit Analyst, you’ll join a team of experienced auditors where you’ll support the delivery of our strategy and be a proactive team member. You will work within a leading audit function and gain exposure to a wide range of risk modelling, capital assessment and other analytical techniques across our banking and insurance businesses. You’ll have a growth mindset and positively contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of our Audit function.
You’ll assist the Engagement Lead in the delivery of Audits or lead evaluation of controls and completion of testing applying proficient knowledge of audit methodology and assigned business/risk area.
* Delivers specified outcomes and/or provides support services within a designated area of audit control by working within established systems.
* Supports internal customers to ensure their needs are met and/or helps senior colleagues manage client relationships.
* Highlights shortcomings and suggests improvements in current compliance processes, systems and procedures within assigned unit and/or discipline.
* Delivers prescribed outcomes by working as directed within established data management systems and procedures.
* Conducts research using primary data sources and selects relevant information to enable analysis of key themes and trends.
* Develops personal capabilities using existing formal and informal training opportunities, while also coaching others as required.
What you’ll need

* Knowledge of the generic elements of a model life cycle, and their associated risks, as well as an understanding of effective model risk management and governance;
* Knowledge of regulatory capital requirements in Insurance or Banking;
* Practical experience developing, using or monitoring models measuring Credit, Market or Actuarial Risks;
* The ability to deliver risk and control assurance activity that is timely, impactful, insightful and valued by stakeholders;
* Experience using statistical analysis and qualitative techniques to validate models;
* The ability to analyse, understand and communicate data as information, and to use data to drive effective audit outcomes.
