Glasgow Life is seeking a Finance Project Accountant to join our newly created Finance Project team. This is a full-time role over a 3-year fixed term contract until November 2027. As a Project Accountant, you will support and assist the Project Lead in delivering several specialist projects.
1. ERP Project – Implementation of new finance/payroll system
2. PCI Compliance
3. Pay and Grading Structure
4. Retail system upgrade
5. Implementation of IFRS 16 Accounting Standard
6. Revision of Group VAT return following entry into Museums VAT Refund Scheme
The role
As a Finance Project Accountant, you’ll be an integral part of the team by working across the organisation to deliver these projects. Reporting to the Senior Finance Project Lead and working alongside a new team.
The candidate
If you’re interested in joining us as a Project Accountant, you’ll need:
1. CCAB/CIMA Qualified
2. Working knowledge of financial ledger systems
3. Ability to interpret legislative requirements and apply technical issues.
4. Established negotiating skills to influence and challenge to budget holders
5. Ability to work flexibly to meet tight deadlines and deal with conflicting priorities
