Sales Administrator
Based in Hull
£27k per Annum
Monday to Friday 07.00 - 16.00 plus 1 in 3 Saturdays
The Sales Department provides a best-in-class service to the shipping and offshore industry.
The post holder will support the Sales Manager and Sales Team in processing customer quotes, orders, and requests in a timely and efficient manner.
The role is to ensure that customers receive exceptionally high customer service while ensuring orders are administered promptly.
The post holder will also assist the sales team in procuring and sourcing supplies and help ensure required margins are maintained.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Processing customer quotes and orders, ensuring requirements are met.
* Providing customers with the highest level of service.
* Ensuring all orders are processed correctly within the Finance system.
* Maintaining consistent high levels of service and communication, adopting a customer-first mentality.
* Taking ownership of sales orders and liaising with the warehouse/operations to ensure correct product delivery.
* Procurement of non-stock items from suppliers to required quality standards and best prices to maintain margins.
* Maintaining systems and procedures, ensuring a correct audit trail is maintained.
* Completing customer requests efficiently and achieving required margins by liaising with internal departments.
* Managing administrative paperwork - Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Sales Return Orders.
* Ensuring accurate data input for customer and supplier orders into the CRM/finance system.
* Maintaining customer communication at all times.
* Supporting and assisting the sales team and other departments, using personal judgment and initiative to develop effective solutions to challenges.
* Ensuring all work contributes to group success and profitability.
* Providing departmental cross-cover as required.
