Job Details JOB PURPOSE The role of the Local Business Development Manager is to: Support and develop the Fleet & business operation within Crawley and JLR Division. Grow Fleet, Business and retail sales channels by developing relationships with local businesses and renewal activities. Ensure our fleet operation abides by all FCA and JLR policies. Reporting into the JLR division Fleet Manager. Department/Business/Location: Sales / JLR Location TBC. To include travel to various JLR sites within the division. Reports to: Fleet Manager KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop new business through prospecting non-showroom traffic, introduce and follow up suitable sales prospects. Manage Renewal activity within the dealership/group. Support retail sales executives with product and business knowledge. Manage direct sales channel and activity. Provide exceptional client experiences throughout the sales process and deliver exceptional NPS results. Attend marketing events/networking events to increase local representation and network. Work with aftersales department to generate leads into the department. Adhere to FCA regulations and compliance with all Fleet sales. Support other LBDM’s and Fleet operation as and when required. Advise corporate customers on vehicle specification and new developments together with the financial effect of the different funding plans on their business. Accurately maintain the corporate customer database. Ensure pre-delivery inspections take place and that any delays are communicated to customers. Maintain accurate stock availability information. Accurate calculation of part exchange vehicles over allowance and finance terms. Report weekly / monthly ratios against target and communicate all activities and sales to the manufacturer promptly and accurately. Participate in planning sales campaigns and promotions. Ensure the safety and security of people, vehicles and property at all times, reporting any known faults or hazards. Skills & Requirements Essential Full UK driving licence. Smart appearance. Competency in numeracy, literacy and IT. Desirable Relevant product knowledge. Experience Desirable Motor industry experience Previous experience working within a Fleet role.
