Job Summary
As the ward manager, you will be a RMN with NMC registration, preferably with comprehensive mental health inpatient experience and able to demonstrate leadership experience and development.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated ward manager who can work collaboratively with the clinical team lead and female pathway matron.
The Trinity team is a cohesive group motivated to continue developing the standards of care on the ward in line with the Royal College of Psychiatry QNWA standards, and we would love a leader to join the team who is committed to helping them achieve this. We are seeking a ward manager who is committed to ensuring acute admissions to hospital are succinct, effective, and discharge is well planned with good patient experience outcomes.
Our ward manager will continue to embed a supportive approach to student nurses, preceptorship nurses, international nurses, and who is committed to helping all nurses and health care support workers in the team grow their clinical and leadership skills in line with their identified goals from appraisal.

Main Duties of the Job
1. To supervise and manage the daily workload to maximize efficiency, ensuring that duties are discharged safely and effectively.
2. To be available to staff for advice, guidance, and support in the discharge of their duties, ensuring the team works within relevant NICE guidelines and trust policies.
3. To line manage the staff team, including supervisions and appraisals.
4. To identify poor performance in line with organizational policy.
5. To alert the Acute Care Matron in a timely manner to any concerns about the team's effectiveness.
6. To be involved in recruitment.
7. To work within the PSIRF framework and safeguarding policies.
8. Key role in ensuring the team is compliant with CQC standards.
9. To contribute to a culture which supports learning and improvement.
10. To use data to inform service evaluation and improvement.
11. To share best practice with the team and ensure it is embedded in practice.
