We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to provide support to driver and rider education, training and publicity initiatives within the Road Safety section.
Responsible for the overall promotion and day to day administrative function of the projects, you will be an approachable and outgoing individual with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. You must be able to work to tight deadlines and have experience of excellent record keeping.
You will be required to provide and use a suitable motor vehicle for business journeys, for which a casual car allowance/motorcycle allowance will be payable.
You will be based at The Quays, Briton Ferry and report to the Senior Road Safety Officer.
The main duties of the post:
1. Responsible for the promotion and day to day management of the driver and rider training element of the Road Safety Team.
2. Develop, deliver & coordinate select road safety initiatives designed to help achieve national and local objectives in reducing casualties.
3. Assist in the provision and marketing of Driver and Rider initiatives.

Work Experience
4. Experience of working in an office environment employing latest technologies and IT software packages
5. Computer literate
6. Work involving road safety issues.
7. Marketing Experience
8. Microsoft Word
9. Business Administration, Customer Care
10. Periodic Driver CPC
11. DSA Fleet driver training
Ideally you will have.
12. Minimum qualification requirement: 4 GCSE’s or equivalent, one of which should be English Language or Welsh
13. Possess or working towards an NVQ Level 3
Neath Port Talbot’s Road Safety team provide Education, Training and Publicity to a wide audience including Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, Cyclists, Young Drivers, Motorcyclists and Professional Drivers. The successful candidate would play an important role in the road safety development of riders and drivers using our road network.
