Job summary Somerset NHS Foundation Trust are looking for an enthusiastic colleagues to work together as Clinical Teaching Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to join our team from August 2025 (or earlier if available). The post is full time (40 hours per week) and fixed term for 12 months This post is based at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton. The successful candidate will have full GMC registration and 2nd on call experience ie. registrar level in General Obstetrics and gynaecology. The candidate is expected to have good clinical skills in assessing and identifying sick patients and competency in General Obstetrics and Gynaecology at ST3 level (mandatory). Post CCT applicants wishing to expand their clinical/teaching skills are encouraged to apply. Main duties of the job The candidates will join an already well-established team, which includes consultants with special interests in Urogynaecology, Menstrual Dysfunction, Minimal Access surgery, Endometriosis, Fetal Medicine and Maternal Medicine and Gynaecological Oncology. The selected candidates will have several allocated protected sessions each week to gain formal experience and qualification in teaching. This will be under direct supervision of our consultant team.
