The sport and leisure team at Chesterfield Borough Council are looking to recruit 2 full time members of staff and 5 casual members of staff.
We require motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to work as part of our team carrying out general leisure attendant duties. The duties involve ensuring customer safety at all times, lifeguarding, communicating effectively with members of the public and other staff, undertaking cleaning duties and setting up and dismantling sports equipment in a safe environment.
Experience of working with the public and customer care is desirable and ideally you will have experience of working in swimming pools.
We need sport and leisure attendants who will:
be focused on delivering excellent customer service standards
provide safe and effective pool supervision
be part of a motivated team fully embracing the council’s values
ensure high levels of cleanliness and housekeeping are maintained within the centre
support the varied programme of activities and sessions
efficiently communicate with other team members
Successful candidates must hold a current RLSS Lifeguarding qualification for this post.
You will be required to attend regular staff training sessions as part of the requirement of this post. These vacancies require regular unsocial hours working including availability at evenings and weekends, involving a variety of services being provided at all council sports and leisure venues within the borough.
The successful candidate will be subject to a disclosure carried out by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
