Position: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Victoria Primary Early Learning and Childcare
Salary: £28,046 - £32,010
Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks per year
Victoria Primary Early Learning and Childcare is located within the Newhaven area of Edinburgh. We offer 120 places of 1140 hours to children between the age of 2 years and 5 years during the hours of 8am and 6pm and throughout the full year.
The successful candidate will support the early years team in delivering a flexible, high quality and inclusive early learning and childcare service which meets the needs of young children and their families. Working collaboratively with parents, carers, and other partners to promote the welfare and development of every child. Our focus is to deliver the curriculum and pedagogy, being child centred and responsive in a Rights based approach.
Minimum Requirements:
1. The successful applicant must be SSSC registered or eligible for SSSC registration.
2. Hold the necessary qualification for an Early Years Practitioner.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
