We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to open a new 4-bed children’s home in Winsford, catering to children and young people with learning disabilities (LD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The home is situated near another existing, well-established service.
The Registered Manager will be responsible for registering the home with Ofsted and ensuring its effective and safe operation. They will deliver high-quality care for children and young people, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and create a warm, supportive environment.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (CYP) (required by Ofsted for registration).
* Experience managing a children’s home is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Open and manage a new children’s home, ensuring its successful registration with Ofsted.
* Provide high-quality care by understanding the needs of children and young people, empowering them with new skills, and helping them aspire to their goals.
* Ensure the home is compliant with all statutory regulations, safeguarding policies, and best practices.
* Manage staff effectively, including mentorship, training, and performance evaluations, to uphold care standards.
* Collaborate with external professionals and agencies to meet children and young people's needs.
* Oversee the development and implementation of care plans, risk assessments, and support strategies.
* Monitor the home’s budget and ensure financial compliance.
* Maintain health and safety standards within the service and ensure compliance with organisational policies.
* Participate in the client’s out-of-hours on-call management service.

Education, Certification & Experience
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (CYP) is essential.
* Extensive knowledge of interventions relating to behaviours of concern.
* Experience managing a children’s home is essential.
* Four years of experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or behaviours of concern.
* Experience in Leadership registered with Ofsted.
Standards and Quality Assurance
* Actively support the client’s aims and ethos.
* Uphold organisational policies and maintain professional standards in dress, punctuality, and conduct.
Training
Ongoing training will be provided to ensure competency and skill development in the role.
