This role is to work with a leading distribution specialist. They have an extensive network of distribution centres across the country.
They are looking to recruit a Safety, Health and Environmental Business Partner to join the team on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of health, safety and environmental risk strategy of the business as set by the Head of Safety & Risk and be required to travel nationwide when required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivery of ISO certified safety and environmental management systems.
2. Serve as Subject Matter Expert on Health and Safety, Environmental risk, and Safety Culture, including all road transport and operational yard safety at company and third-party locations.
3. Ownership of company health and safety policies, training, and audit regimes, ensuring suitable and sufficient arrangements are in place and managed accordingly.
4. Responsible for the delivery of Human Factors and Safety Culture Awareness program in conjunction with the Head of Safety and Risk.
5. Lead positive relationships and dialogue with principal internal and external stakeholders, including Health and Safety Executive, DVSA, Local Authorities, Trade Associations, and Bodies.
6. Ensure that all incidents and accidents are thoroughly investigated.
