Person specification
Education and qualifications
* Good general education- basic literacy and numeracy skills
* Willingness to undertake NVQ level 2 in care related area
* Willingness to undertake NVQ level 3 in care related area
* Completed Trust Support Worker Programme
* ECDL or equivalent
Experience
* Previous experience of working with the general public
* Previous experience of working with patients in a care environment
Skills, ability and knowledge
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (to understand and be understood).
* Good basic hygiene skills
* Ability to follow a clear instruction and feed back to senior staff.
* Ability to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative or with minimal supervision.
* Awareness of the NHS structure and current issues
