A kind and patient personal assistant is required to support an autistic fifteen-year-old girl with selective mutism who lives in Helston.
She is looking for someone with whom she can build a positive relationship and who can provide one-to-one support.
Her hobbies include arts and crafts, alternative music, and Marvel and TMNT comics. She also enjoys shopping and visiting places such as McDonald’s, Starbucks, CEX, and craft markets.
The role is for five to ten hours per week, with flexible scheduling to suit the candidate’s availability.
Pay starts at £12.60 per hour, with the potential for an increase based on skills and experience.

Experience working with young people with autism and anxiety is desirable.
A full driving licence and access to transport are essential, with a mileage allowance payable.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
